CFU is a SoulSci saga about human hubris, neurocryptics, and cosmic reckoning.
The mind was the final frontier. Now, it is the battlefield where astral folds collide.

Celestial Flames Universe + Echoes From The Gap carry your light.
- E.M. Stringfellow

Book I: Origins of Influence is set for a highly anticipated Late Spring 2026 book release. Amid a revolution of biomedical breakthroughs, one invention threatens to unravel the very fabric of free will. Beneath its brilliance, an ancient intention smolders, representing a legacy powerful enough to reshape history. Professor Edith Mae Emberton, known as Cinder Blaze, Cindrael of the First Sun, and Descendant of the Dogon, harnesses divine fire and primordial shadow, embodying the Celestial Flames. Raised in Mud City, she carries sacred knowledge passed down through generations. When her intellectual brilliance merges with her inheritance, Edith becomes the retribution in this subversive noir.
Her awakening triggers a cosmic chain reaction just as her husband, Ellington “El” Thompson, a former NFL star, college football coach, and visionary scientist, unleashes a dark influence through neurocryptic technology once meant to heal. His co-creations, The CerebriXion and The SigCipher, are weaponized by PRISM Dynamics, a trillion-dollar UPE bent on controlling minds and reshaping society. As influence signals spread and the fabric of existence trembles, Edith’s fire stirs the Athurri Pyralis, sun-born beings enraged by humanity’s hubris and poised to bring catastrophe. Disturbed by the Grounded-Ones and their ingratitude, these celestial forces rise to confront the imbalance.
Alongside the Blaze Nomads and techanic rebels, Edith stands between worlds. Conflicted, elemental, and determined to protect Earth’s breath, she must face what could obliterate the Cosmic Wasteland of the Broken Souls and shift the course of the universe forever.
“Echoes From The Gap”: Dreamscapes + Dark Matter
isn’t just a title. It’s my heartfelt homage to The Gap, a beloved jewel on Chicago’s South Side. My Auntie Asia bought me my first toy plane when I was little. I begged for it, and it meant the world. Many moons later, I received a telescope. Though I can’t recall who gifted it, what I do remember is how deeply I cherished it. Amid those streets and beneath those night skies, my voyage truly began.
The Gap, grace, and grit raised me. At the same time, sports, science, and storytelling shaped me.
For music inspiration, I didn’t have to go far. I could step into the living room. Cut on the radio. Or simply go outside. My grandmother played the piano, and her father and uncles all played instruments. My family was active in the church as well as in Chicago’s Jazz in the Alley. In the 1970s, you could even hear one of my older cousins on the radio with his group, Donald Jenkins and the Delighters. Cousins Billy and Wayne were drawn to brass, and Wayne still lifts his saxophone in service today. Music wasn’t just around me. It lives in my marrow.
Coupled with inquiry, I often asked: As we watch the stars, are they watching us? What endless possibilities stretch beyond? That wonder continues to fuel my creativity as I chart my way as a lyricist, speculative fiction author, and an executive in biomedical discovery + science diplomacy.
Together with my talented Chey-Nova and incredible executive producer, Steve Ross, we created an album that speaks a universal language. It blends multiple styles: ambient, R&B, and even metalcore. It pushes us to look outward to the stars and inward to our neighborhoods.
Whether critiquing consumerism or advocating for health justice, it invites us to lean into our roles. It emphasizes that every action ripples across the universe to influence a brighter future for The Collective.
Book II: The Eclipse of Power, approaching the 2027 convergence, deepens the conflict. Following a global near-techpocalypse that hit Mud City hardest, the SigCipher has finally gone rogue, leading to the disappearance of El and their daughter Eunice. Edith’s / Cinder's Zarolentis fire surges in response, but so does her burden. She must plead with the sun beings for balance while humanity races to transform her fire into salvation.
Book III: Pyralis Reign, on course for a 2028 detonation, ignites an apocalyptic war. The Athurri Pyralis demand a sacrifice that could either doom existence or forge a legacy of hope. Edith must confront her deepest fears and wield her divine fire at full strength to save everything she loves.
